"A scamming insurance practice with pleasant people. First, off I will say all the people working here are mostly professional and very kind. I did my best to remain that way as well. All the reviews about them being kind and friendly are indeed true. However, it doesn't change the fact that they literally scammed me and stole my money. Initially, an agent reached out in response to my search for a quote. Over time we couldn't reach a service coverage for the price that I wanted. A few months later, I was need of insurance again, and this agent was able to give a me favorable quote. She ran all my information. I agreed and she asked me to prepay for 6 months, which I did. I was insured effective immediately. However, three weeks later they try to charge me an additional $150. Roughly a 30% increase in the originally agreed upon rate. My agent investigated and confirmed it had nothing to do with the information that I gave them and that everything I said lined up, so all information was accurate, and I did nothing wrong. She essentially just absolved all responsibility and said "well that what underwriting wants, so you have to pay it". Now, I would have never left a review at this stage. I was mad that they did an unethical bait and switch, taking my money and then raising the rates almost right after. However, to make it worse, once I cancelled my policy they wanted to prorate me a refund NOT on the lower rate we originally agreed on but on the rate that they raised it too. They are indeed entitled to the a prorated rate daily of my paid insurance BASED ON the quote we agreed on, for those 3 weeks of coverage, but NOT at the rate which they raised it too. So, then they say they can only refund based on the new rate, that they chose to raise it to. But, I literally never agreed to that rate. I mean in my case they stole maybe about 50 dollars from me by doing this. But, imagine if they wanted to triple someones rate three weeks later. You would lose like all six months of paid insurance in just one month of coverage. You would lose hundreds and theres nothing you can do about it. Then, to make it worse I was told that John would call me back to help resolve the situation and when he didn't, I called back and then they said he is away. I have never even spoken with him to this day. So either his employees hid this from him or John didn't want to bother with me. All this was handled without any unnecessary drama and for the most part the employees were cordial, as was I. However, it doesn't changed the fact that they went back on an agreement, did a bait and switch to get an insurance sale, and then to top it off stole money from my refund by charging a daily rate for insurance that I never agreed to. Also, FYI, it has been a 28 days, and I still haven't received my refund check either. I'd advise staying away from this broker."
